What's in the risk assessments and safe methods?
- Risk assessments regarding current COVID-19 risks, specifically for for members of the public collecting food and for food deliveries.
- A general risk assessment for undertaking food deliveries safely.

These documents identify the risks in the business and control measures needed to ensure the safety of your team and members of the public. They have been written so they can be used immediately.
You need to read, understand, adopt (by filling in the spaces and signing) and then train the team in the contents. The documents can be stored electronically or printed and kept somewhere safe.
What is it?
Many businesses in the hospitality sector are looking to diversify their business whilst helping their local communities by providing a takeaway, collections and delivery services. SSG want to support food businesses in this venture by providing free guidance on how to do it safely.
Our team of experienced Environmental Health Practitioners have drafted three free risk assessments to use. Included in this are specific risk assessments and controls which are fundamental during these challenging times, as well as a general delivery risk assessment which can be used when trading returns to normal.
